Hello! My name is Sara Sines and I am a 23-year-old performing artist based in the NYC/NJ area. I began shooting around the age of 13 because I wanted to be like my oldest sister Erin who was just starting her photography career until her passing in 2007. I grew up seeing her film photographs framed all over the house and I was always inspired by her unique eye. My dad bought me my first "fancy camera" when I expressed my interest in photography to him; he was really excited for me. He always told me that I had a great eye and constantly pushed me to take more photos. It wasn't until college that I started taking it seriously. My roommate/best friend Isa and I randomly started playing around with dance shoots and that's where it all began. Shout out to her for being my helper in my early shoots ;) I draw inspiration from nature around me and am always trying to capture exactly what my eyes see.
